Grave of 45003 Sgt. Charles Symonds Manby who served with the Canadian Engneers C.E.F. Born in Suffolk England on May 7th 1880. Charles enlisted into the C.E.F. at Valcartier Quebec on Sept. 26th 1914, he listed some prior military service with the 2nd Suffolk Reg. at Sudbury England, he also listed his occupation as "Hotel Manager" Charles died of the Spanish flu at Vancouver BC on Jan. 12th 1919 at the age of 39. He was laid to rest in the Mountain View Cemetery of Vancouver BC.
