Grave of 629999 Pvt. James R. Methven who served with the 47th Battn. C.E.F. Born in Edinburgh Scotland on Jan. 24th 1892. Husband of Elgin Methven of East Vancouver. James enlisted into the C.E.F. at New Westminster BC on March 15th 1915, he listed prior military service with the 6th D.C.O.R. Canadian Militia. He listed his occupation as "Iron Worker" James died at Vancouver BC on July 31st 1919 at the age of 27. He was laid to rest in the Mountain View cemetery of Vancouver BC. -
