Grave of 425169 Pvt. Halbert Buchanan Oliver who served with the 8th Battn. C.E.F. Born in Perth Ontario on April 19th 1875. Halbert enlisted into the 45th Battn. C.E.F. (replacement) at Brandon Manitobia on May 24th 1915 listing prior military service during the Boer War with the 5th Canadian Mounted Rifles and later with the South African Constabulary. He listed his occupation as "Miner" Halbert died at Vancouver BC on Jan. 18th 1921 at the age of 45. He was laid to rest in the Mountain View Cemetery of Vancouver BC. -
