He served as a Sergeant with the Lanark Renfrew Scottish Regiment, Company A – NPAM – in Pembroke, Ontario, from 1929 to 1932, then as a Corporal in No. 3 Canadian Clearing Station CAMC – NPAM – in Ottawa, Ontario, from 1934 to 1936.
He had service in Canada and Great Britain. He had 1,455 days of service, including 316 overseas.
1939-1945 Star, Europe Star, War Medal 1939-1945, Canadian Volunteer Service Medal and Clasp, Operational Wings.
