Killed by shell fire in Hoofdplaat, Netherlands (Green Beach) on October 9, 1944. Pte Malcolm Elvin Thomas Armstrong died instantly when a shell hit their (Neil Medhurst) jeep as it descended a Buffalo ramp during the landing for Operation Switchback. -
