Pilot Officer Donald Alexander Price
This photo was taken at undisclosed airfield somewhere in England. The photo was taken for his darling wife Vera. Donald Price was a navigator / pilot officer on a Lancaster Bomber. Soon after, Donald and Vera would have a child named Diane; however 13 days after Diane's birth, Pilot Officer Donald Price would be shot down and killed during a bombing run over Germany February 25, 1944. Donald had volunteered for this particular mission so he could spend an extra day with his new family in the near future. But it was not to be.
