Additional information
Son of John and Annie Mildred (née Wassill) Wotherspoon of Langenbury, Saskatchewan. He was the brother of John Wilfred, who also served with the Royal Canadian Air Force and died on November 30, 1958. Pilot Officer Alfred Wotherspoon has been commemorated by the Province of Saskatchewan by the naming of Wotherspoon Lake in his honour.

CRASHED BRITISH AIRCRAFT Report 11 July 45 Post was report on the remains of an aircraft found 2 miles north of the German twn own Laichingen. It details all of the evidence that this was the Watts crew's aircraft. It details that the local population buried the six crew members in a local cemetery. DURNBACH WAR CEMETERY Germany
Durnbach is a village 16 kilometres east of Bad Tolz, a town 48 kilometres south of Munich. Durnbach War Cemetery is 3 kilometres north of the village Gmund am Tegernsee. Using the A8 from Munich, turn off at the junction Holzkirchen, taking the 318 road in the direction of Gmund am Tegernsee. At the crossroads with the 472, turn left in the direction of Miesbach. The cemetery is situated approximately 500 metres on the left from the 318/472 crossroads.
