He was born as Algerman Randolph Collins.

Son of Frank Everett Collins and Marie Laura (aka Memery) Christie, of Albert, New Brunswick. Brother of Private Lillian Memmery Beulah Collins, CWAC, and Private Weldon Collins, who served in Europe in World War II. They survived the war.

Served in New Brunswick, Newfoundland with Force W, Hong Kong with Force C. He had 499 days of service, including 57 overseas.
