Additional Information courtesy of Annemarie Bruseker:<p> Quartermaster-Sergeant Harry Bannon, Loyal Edmonton Regiment, who was killed in Sicily, according to word received by his widow. Surviving with Mrs. Bannon is a three year old child whom Sgt. Bannon had never seen. Sgt. Bannon left for England in 1939, after having lived in Edmonton for many years. He was prominent as a footballer here. -
