Uncle Doug shipping out. Killed crossing the Maas River Jan 26, 1945 on the first day of the battle for Kapelsche Veer. My dad (Herbert Smith, older brother, Navigator, Halifax bomber, 158 Squadron, Lissett) misses him very much. -
