Ronald Christopher (Ronnie) Ward was one of three children of Thomas Ward and Mary Agnes,nee Evans. Mary died in 1925 and Thomas died in 1932. His siblings were Eric Ward and Nellie Ward. Eric and his wife Flory, who lives in Toronto, had one son, Bryan. Bryan lives in West Hill Ontario. Nellie married Victor Paul Spinney and they had two sons, Victor Ronald Spinney and Robert Eldon spinney.<P> Ronnie married Ilene McCraney on May 31, 1941. Ronnie was a bus driver for Grey Coach Lines before he joined the army while his wife Ilene was a stenographer. Ilene is believed to have remarried after Ronnie's death, but we lost track of her many years ago. -

MORO RIVER CANADIAN WAR CEMETERY Italy
The Moro River Canadian War Cemetery lies in the locality of San Donato in the Commune of Ortona, Province of Chieti, and is sited on high ground near the sea just east of the main Adriatic coast road (SS16). The cemetery can be reached from Rome on the autostrada A25 (Rome-Pescara) by branching on the autostrada A14 and leaving it at Ortona. The approach road to the cemetery from the main road passes under an arch forming part of the little church of San Donato. The cemetery is permanently open and may be visited anytime.
