Brother of 4th Engineer John Publow Kinnear who died on March 28, 1945 while serving with the Canadian Merchant Navy and nephew of Private Arthur Jolly Kinnear who was killed in action on September 27, 1918 while serving with the Canadian Infantry (Saskatchewan Regiment).
