Photo of David K. Hazzard
Captain David Hazzard enlisted in The Queen's Own Rifles in June 1940 and rose to the rank of Sergeant by 1941. He completed officer training and returned to the regiment. Captain Hazzard landed on D-Day in the first wave with B Coy. He was promoted to Captain and was subsequently Killed In Action at Carpiquet airfield. -
