He was baptized as Edward Oliver Culleton.

Son of Edgar (aka Edward) Dale Culleton and Ruth Blanche Moores, of Matapedia, Québec. Brother of Fusilier Edward Dale Culleton, regimental number E-30149, and half-brother of Fusilier Glenford Mann, regimental number E-30009, both of the 1st Battalion, Royal Rifles of Canada and prisoners of war in Hong Kong and Japan. They survived the war.

Served in Québec, New Brunswick, Newfoundland with W Force, Hong Kong with C Force and Japan as a prisoner of war. He had 1,190 days of service, including 736 overseas.

YOKOHAMA WAR CEMETERY Japan

YOKOHAMA WAR CEMETERY is 9 kilometres west of the city on Yuenchi-Dori, Hodogaya Ward, which branches left off the old Tokkaido highway. The nearest railway station is Hodogaya, 5 kilometres to the north on the JNR line but the cemetery is easily reached by bus from Yokohama station.
