Burial/memorial information
He enlisted with the 18th Manitoba Reconnaissance Battalion in Winnipeg, Manitoba and transferred to the 1st Battalion Winnipeg Grenadiers on October 25th, 1941 to serve in Hong Kong with C Force. He had 979 days of service, including 843 days overseas. To commemorate his sacrifice, the Manitoba government named Dumaine Lake located southwest of Nueltin Lake in his honor in 1972.
