Son of Thomas Albert Fox and Margaret Jane Borden of Semans, Saskatchewan.

Enlisted in the 7th Quota Infantry Rifle at Regina, Saskatchewan, also served in Manitoba and Ontario, transferred on October 23rd, 1941 to the 1st Battalion Winnipeg Grenadiers for service in Hong Kong with C Force, Japan as a prisoner of war. He had 991 days of service, including 477 overseas. To commemorate his sacrifice, the Saskatchewan government named Fox Island in his honor.

YOKOHAMA WAR CEMETERY Japan

YOKOHAMA WAR CEMETERY is 9 kilometres west of the city on Yuenchi-Dori, Hodogaya Ward, which branches left off the old Tokkaido highway. The nearest railway station is Hodogaya, 5 kilometres to the north on the JNR line but the cemetery is easily reached by bus from Yokohama station.
