His full name is Louis Joseph Maurice Jean Filteau.

Son of Louis Filteau and Eugénie Rousseau, of Neuville, Portneuf, Québec.

On route to New York, on December 2, 1940, at 9:01 a.m., the Pacific President was hit by a torpedo launched from U-43 west-south-west of Rockall, Ireland, position 56°04'N/18°45'W. She sank quickly with all 50 crew members.
