Photo of Louis Romeo Dubuc
Sgt. Dubuc was born in Fort Saskatchewan, Alberta. He began flying at the age of 19. Sgt. Dubuc received a special gold medal from his hometown for being the first person born in that town to get a pilot’s license and to land an airplane in town. Prior to joining the RCMP he was a grounds crew person with a commercial airways service. When the RCMP formed its Aviation Section in 1937, he became one of its first members. Sgt.
