Son of Joseph Lupien and Agnès Guillet of Montréal, Québec.
On 23 February 1942, at 3:04 pm, the Lennox was sailing unescorted when she was torpedoed and sunk by U-129 north-east of Barima, Venezuela, position 09°15'N/58°30'W. Two sailors were killed. The captain and 17 crew members were rescued by the SS Athelrill and landed at Port of Spain, Trinidad.
