On 27 April 1941, the Henri Mory sailed alone after having sailed away in convoy SL-68 on 21 March. She was torpedoed by U-110 about 300 miles (531 km) west-north-west of the Basket Islands, Ireland. She sank in less than four minutes, in position 54°00'N/19°00'W. The Executive Officer and two sailors were picked up by HMS Hurricane (H06) on 30 April and landed at Greenock, Scotland, on 1 May. One survivor was rescued from his raft after eight days by the SS Lycaon. Of the 32 crew members, only four survived.
