Son of Thomas Eden Chatterton and Janet McNeaney of Toronto, Ontario. He was a Lance Corporal with the 48th Highlanders - NPAM - in Long Branch, Ontario, from 9 October 1940 to 8 January 1941 then solider at the 20 Basic Training Centre in Brantford, Ontario, from January 8 to 27, 1942.

He served in Canada and in Great Britain.

OVE CHURCHYARD Denmark

Ove is in Northern Jutland, 17 kilometres east of Hobro, near the north shore of the Mariager Fjord. In a collective grave in the OVE CHURCHYARD are buried 4 airmen of the Royal Air Force and 3 of the Royal Canadian Air Force.
