Son of Emil Fred Moser and Amelia May Melison McGovern of Waterloo, Ontario.
On 1 March 1941, convoy WN-91 was attacked in the North Sea by German aircraft. The Forthbank was hit by two bombs, but remained afloat. One of the bombs destroyed the ship's signal station, killing Moser.
