Additional information
On 19 November 1939, at 11:28 pm, the Bowling was torpedoed by U-13 approximately 6 miles (10 km) north-north-east of Longstone, Farne Islands, Cornwall, England. She broke in two and sank in 40 seconds, position 55°45'N/01°35'W. All 13 sailors lost their lives.
