Burial/memorial information
On 14 February 1941, the British patrol boat Elisabeth Marie was sailing with convoy SC-21 and trailing from astern when she was pursued by German Luftwaffe aircraft. She was bombed and sunk in position 54°58'N/12°30'W. Only Quigley was killed. The 24 survivors were rescued by the Canadian destroyer HMCS Ottawa (H60).
