Additional information
On 16 December 1942, the Émile Francqui sailed from Liverpool, England, to Saint John, New Brunswick, with convoy ON-153. At 8:13 pm, she was torpedoed and sunk by U-664, in position 50°58'N/24°42'W. The ship sank with 46 persons, some from her 70 crew members, 11 passengers and 6 gunners.
