Son of Arthur Frederick White and Christiana Kedley from Harwick, Essex, England.

The lighthouse supply ship SS Argus hit a mine and sank on 12 November 1940 near the Mouse Light lighthouse in the Thames Estuary. The crew of 33 sailors and one gunner lost their lives.
