Photo of Alexander Cockburn
Corporal Cockburn enlisted in the QOR in June 1940 and served with the Regiment in Newfoundland, New Brunswick and in England. He was in the Support Company, Carrier Platoon, and went through Normandy, the Scheldt and the rhineland campaigns with the QOR. He was killed in northern Holland near the town of Sneek, when his carrier was hit by an anti-tank shell. -
