SOULAIRES COMMUNAL CEMETERY Eure-et-Loir, France
The village and commune of Soulaires lies some 7 miles (11 kilometres) north-east of Chartres and almost 4 miles (6 kilometres) north of the Chartres-Versailles road (N.10). The nearest railway station is 2.5 miles away at Jouy, on the Paris-Chartres line, but the most practical way of reaching Soulaires is by taxi from Chartres. The cemetery is on the northern side of the village, on the D.329/2 road to the neighbouring village of St. Piat. South of the war memorial in the cemetery are the graves of an airman of the Royal Air Force and an airman of the Royal Canadian Air Force.
