He was 21 years old when he was killed in action in France. He was born in Thedford Ontario where he lived until his enlistment in March 1943, with the Essex Scottish. He went overseas the same year. This picture was taken on the front lawn of his home in Thedford Ontario just before his departure to France."You will never be forgotten, we pledge to you today, a hallowed place within our hearts, is where you’ll always stay."
