Photo of Robert I. O. Stewart
Captain Stewart enlisted in 1942 and served the entire time with The Queen's Own Rifles. He acted in the capacity as Quartermaster for the battalion from 1943 through Normandy, the Channel Ports, the Scheldt and the Rhineland. He was wounded by a stray round in the Reichswald Forest in late March 45 and evacuated to England where he died several months later. -
