Cpl. Williams had postings in Ottawa, Newfoundland, the Yukon, and Nova Scotia. He had recently applied for Northern Service and was looking forward to moving there. Cpl. Williams went on a small vessels patrol and was last seen rowing the boat. The boat’s stern at that time sat low in the water and its bow was tilted up unusually high. Cpl. Williams was married to June and they had three daughters. He was cremated and his ashes were scattered at sea.
