Constable Campbell was a farmer from Manitoba. When he entered the Force, he was assigned duties as a stable orderly and then served as a water cart teamster. He had also served in South African War. Constable Campbell drowned in the Stikine River, Alaska, while on patrol from Northern British Columbia. His body was never recovered.
