Son of Barry and Sandra Lynne Mellish of Truro, Nova Scotia. Husband of Kendra Helen (née Stordy) Mellish. Father of Matthew and Koven Mellish. Warrant Officer Mellish served 18 years with the military and this was his seventh overseas deployment, the second to Afghanistan.
