Son of John Dwyer and Johanna Hannah Kelly, of Bell Island, Avalon, Newfoundland. Husband of Selina Searle, of Bell Island. Father of four children, including Ruth and Kevin Peter Dwyer.
He drowned accidentally in Buenos Aires, Argentina.
