His full name is Daniel L. Feeley.


He died on 24 April 1942 of a cerebral haemorrhage following an accident in Cape Town, South Africa. He was cremated. A headstone has been erected at Mount Jolivet Cemetery in Halifax, Nova Scotia, engraved with the words "Their son - April 24, 1942 - Killed Cape Town, S.A.".
