His full name is Thomas Vallance F. Ivimey.
Son of Heber Spraklin Ivimey and Flora French of Bareneed, Avalon, Newfoundland.

He died accidentally following a fall in the hold of his ship. His body was brought back to St. John's, Newfoundland, for autopsy and burial.
