Son of Nicholas H. Pelly and Elizabeth Alice Kendall of Trenton, Pictou, Nova Scotia. Husband of Alice Victoria Kendall of New Glasgow, Nova Scotia. Father of Shirley Minnie, Edith Alice May, Alexandra Muriel Blanche, Jessie Grace Emily and Florence Ethel Jane Pelly.
He died at Memorial Hospital in Houston, Texas, of bilateral bronchopneumonia following a prostatectomy where he was buried.
