Ex-cadets are named on the Memorial Arch at the Royal Military College of Canada in Kingston, Ontario and in memorial stained glass windows to fallen comrades. 2481 Flying Officer George Cochrane Silver (RMC 1935) was the son of Capt. H. E. Silver (formerly of the Indian Army) and Sylvia A. Silver, of Duparquet, Quebec. He served with the Royal Canadian Air Force, 104 Sqdn. He died on December 17, 1942 at 25 years of age. His name is listed on the Malta Memorial in Floriana Malta. -

Malta Memorial
On December 17, 1942, when serving from Malta with 104 Squadron, a Wellington bomber unit, Flying Officer Richard Leslie's aircraft failed to return from operations. Other members of the crew killed were Flying Officer George Cochrane Silver R.C.A.F., Sergeant Leonard Booth R.A.F. and Sergeant Herbert George Lines D.F.M., R.A.F. Their names are listed on the Malta Memorial in Floriana Malta.
