P/O Archie McLean, J/89689, 50 Sqn RAF. Shot down by flak (German source) 30 miles short of the target, Darmstadt, on the night of 11/12 Sept 1944 on first mission to Germany. Buried at Niederkirchen 13/9/1944 and re-interred at Rheinberg War Cemetery 9/4/1948 beside all members of his crew. -
