My father Bert and his identical twin Arthur enlisting at the age of 22. Sadly Arthur was killed on D-Day. Later during the war, Bert stepped on a land mine and had his leg amputated below the knee. Back in Canada he married in 1948, had three children, and died on April 6, 1970.
