Additional information
Son of Joseph and Helen Paré, of Winnipeg, Manitoba. Brother of Edward, Joseph, Jeannette and Mrs. L. Baker. Brother of Airman Edward Paré, Royal Canadian Air Force, and Gunner Joseph Paré, Royal Canadian Artillery, who fought in Europe during the Second World War. They survived the war.

He enlisted on October 30th, 1939 with the 2nd Armoured Canadian Regiment, B Quadron - NPAM - Regimental Number 3349, in Winnipeg, and later with the 1st Battalion Winnipeg Grenadiers to serve in Bermuda with B Force, Jamaica with Y Force and Hong Kong with C Force. He had 690 days of service, including 53 overseas.

To commemorate his sacrifice, the Manitoba government named Pare Lake located northwest of North Knife Lake in his honor in 1974.
