Additional information
Baptized George Henri Bugeaud. Son of Bonaventure (aka Benjamin) Bujold and Marie Geneviève Bujold from Moncton, New Brunswick. During the First World War, Bonaventure was conscripted into the Canadian army and enlisted on 23 July 1918 into the 2nd Quebec Regiment in Quebec City, regimental number 3383451. He was demobilized on 25 February 1919 without ever having crossed overseas.

Enlisted in the Voltigeurs de Québec, he left for Great Britain on 23 July 1943, arriving on the 28th. Assigned to the Mediterranean theatre of operations, he landed in Italy on 24 September 1943. For a reason not specified in his file, he died accidentally in Massicault, Tunisia. He was buried on the 22nd in Bizerte military cemetery, in Tunisia, before being exhumed and reburied in Massicault military cemetery.
