Son of François-Xavier Bourget and Alaudia Baroni from Québec, Québec.

Enlisted at the Voltigeurs de Québec armoury on 18 August 1942, he was posted to the 24th Reconnaissance Battalion of the Voltigeurs. Arriving in England on 28 July 1943, he was transferred to the Royal 22e Régiment on 12 September. In Italy since the end of September, he was killed in action on 18 December 1943 while on patrol east of Cubo, near Casa Berardi, in the province of Chieti. He was buried there on the 21st before being exhumed and reburied in the Moro River Cemetery in Ortona, Italy.
