Additional information
Son of Samuel Bevington Ellis and Emerinne Mathilda Young. Brother of S. Clair Ellis, an aviator in the United States Army Air Force, and sailor Hal Grover Ellis, United States Navy. They fought overseas in World War II and survived the war.

Served in British Columbia, Hong Kong with Force C, Japan as a prisoner of war. Had 1,414 days of service, including 872 overseas.

YOKOHAMA WAR CEMETERY Japan

YOKOHAMA WAR CEMETERY is 9 kilometres west of the city on Yuenchi-Dori, Hodogaya Ward, which branches left off the old Tokkaido highway. The nearest railway station is Hodogaya, 5 kilometres to the north on the JNR line but the cemetery is easily reached by bus from Yokohama station.
