Enrolled in the Elgin Regiment in London, Ontario, transferred June 4th, 1941 to the 1st Battalion, Royal Rifles of Canada, served in Ontario, Québec, Hong Kong with C Force, Japan as a prisoner of war. He had 1,289 days of service, including 797 overseas.
