Thomas Tarn fought in France during the First World War, service number 874344, with the 78th Battalion, CEF.
Alexander served in Manitoba, in Jamaica with Force Y, in Hong Kong with Force C. He had 763 days of service, including 576 overseas.
To commemorate his sacrifice, the Government of Manitoba named Brown Hill, located south-east of Lake Sarah, in his honour in 1991. "
