Additional information
Son of William Arthur Moore and Annie Newell of Winnipeg, Manitoba. Brother of Patsy, Lester and Private Allen Moore, who fought in Europe in World War II. He survived the war. Husband of Erna Bertha Rotar. Father of Robert Wilfred and Winnifred Patricia Erna Bertha Moore.

Served from January 9th to September 25th, 1939 with the 2nd Armoured Car Regiment - NPAM - regimental number 3256, then with the regular forces of the 1st Battalion of the Winnipeg Grenadiers in Manitoba, in Jamaica with Y Force and in Hong Kong with C Force.

To commemorate his sacrifice, the Manitoba government named Moore Narrows located in Baddock in his honour in 1995.
