Son of Eusebe and Marie Le Blanc, of St. Joseph du Moine, Inverness Co., Nova Scotia. Flight Sergeant Ernest J. Le Blanc served with the 149 East India (Fortis Nocte) Squadron. His Stirling aircraft R 9161 was shot down while returning from a raid over Saarbrucken, Germany and crashed near Regniowez, France. The other Canadian in the crew was Sergeant James Avedisian, age 25, of Brantford, Ontario.
