Photo of David Martin Philp
Lieutenant Philp enlisted in the Army in May 1942 and trained as a Signals Officer (RCACS). He was attached to The Queen's Own Rifles in April 1943 and was with the Regiment as Signals Officer on D-Day. He was in the process of leaving for a new posting at 8th Canadian Infantry Brigade as Signals Officer when he was wounded by shell fire and died shortly thereafter. -
