Additional information
He was born at the Sœurs grises General Hospital in Montreal, Quebec, and was baptized there catholically on the 29th as Vénérant Joseph Lamarre, son of Joseph Arthur Lamarre and Emma Dumont. He was legally adopted on 24 June 1930 by Félix (alias Philippe) Curadeau and Cordianne Aubut from Rivière-au-Renard, Gaspésie, Quebec.

He enlisted in the Régiment de la Chaudière and on 16 February 1944 set sail for Great Britain, where he landed on the 25th. On 26 March 1944, he was posted to the Mediterranean theatre of operations and sailed. He was transferred to the Royal 22e Régiment on the 29th and arrived in Italy on 9 April 1944. He was killed in action on 1 September 1944 during the Battle of Borgo Santa Maria. He had served 1,448 days, including 198 overseas.

MONTECCHIO WAR CEMETERY Italy

The War Cemetery lies in the locality of Montecchio in the Commune of Montelabbate (Province of Pesaro). It stands on rising ground just North of the main road from Pesaro to Urbino, about 12 kilometres west of Pesaro. If approaching by car, take the road 423 from Pesaro to Urbino, following the signs for Montecchio. Just before entering the town, the Cemetery will be seen on the right hand side of the road.
